Investigation into payment of damages by La France Insoumise leaders closed

La France Insoumise

On May 14, 2020, a preliminary investigation for breach of trust and concealment targeting several leaders of La France Insoumise, including Jean-Luc Mélenchon, was opened before the prosecutor's office of Bobigny. This investigation aimed to verify the conditions under which the executives of France Insoumise paid the damages to which they were sentenced in December 2019 in the case of the search of the headquarters of France Insoumise.

A preliminary investigation which was finally closed without follow-up at the end of January by the Bobigny prosecutor's office.

Me Jade Dousselin, one of the counsels of France Insoumise, told Agence France-Presse (AFP): "It is the recognition by the judicial institution of the total absence of offence in this case. We regret, however, that their good faith has been called into question by a senseless cabal.
