Luc Besson affair: actress Sand Van Roy has Le Point condemned for defamation

Actress Sand Van Roy, who is accusing filmmaker Luc Besson of rape and sexual assault, has had the weekly magazine Le Point and one of its journalists, Aziz Zemouri, convicted of defamation for calling her a "call girl.

 

Jade Dousselin, counsel for Sand Van Roy, said: " The court recognises (...) not only the falsity of the statements made (...), but also the bad faith they have shown in describing [Mrs Van Roy] in this way, without proof and without serious investigation, with the aim of damaging her honour and reputation"
